Russian Wedding

On Saturday we went to a Russian wedding in Bryansk. One of the translators, got married and invited all of the Americans to come. We didn't really know what to expect. But it turned out to be alot like going to a Los Vegas wedding. In Russia, you only get married on Saturday for some reason. So we drove to the city and got to the wedding spot. Inside the building we waited in line while each wedding party took turns going into a room, where a women dressed like Vana White said a few things and then had the bride and groom sign some papers and wallah! They were married! The most ironic part was that they played wedding music like in all the movies, which is not a Russian song! Anyway here are pictures of the bride and groom.



They wedding dress wasn't traditionally even for a Russian wedding. Most women we saw in line to get married were in a white poofy dresses and men in dress shirt and pants.

After the ceremony, the bride and groom come out and the wedding party throw coins at them.

The wedding dress was unusually for sure, but I was impressed at the creativity of it. The top was denim and the bottom was rainbow netting and wire loops. I liked the boots the best, they reminded me of rainbow bright. Good luck Boris!
